Iler Planning Group remains enthusiastic about River Park neighborhood
Iler Planning Group’s proposed plan to preserve the neighborhood’s culture, encourage minority owned homes and businesses, and enhance waterfront opportunities, was postponed by city council on Wednesday. The decision was pushed back to August giving time for the hiring of a new Director for the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).
The charrette recommended by Iler Planning Group is a four day hands-on community process that provides an opportunity for all members of the community to work with planners, architects, and designers to actively shape the vision and future of their neighborhood. Special emphases would be placed on the feasibility and implementation strategies of the plan.
