Mr. Franke’s career spans over twenty two years of public and private sector experience in comprehensive planning, community planning, zoning, redevelopment, and project management. He is a highly regarded planner and project manager with proficiency in urban design, technical writing, public presentations, administration, and organization. He is also skilled in management of personnel, consultants and general contractors. His past experiences in program development, site planning and project management provides IPG clients with valuable insight into the visioning and implementation of redevelopment activities. Mr. Franke applies his professional expertise and background in spearheading redevelopment efforts to his projects at IPG. Currently, Mr. Franke is finalizing the 2008 Update of the City of Naples Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Master Plan. The plan identifies relevant projects and programs from past redevelopment efforts that have not been realized because of the regulatory barriers and missed opportunities. The plan refines those projects and programs into a feasible master visioning document with an implementation program of high value, high leverage projects to guide redevelopment throughout the next 10 years. In addition, Mr. Franke is working on the Palm Drive Improvement Program for the Florida City CRA. With community participation, the plan will transform the City’s Palm Drive commercial corridor into a walkable, multi-modal “main street.” • Twenty two years of public and private planning experience Prior to joining IPG, Mr. Franke served as Project Manager with the RMPK Group (now part of the IBI Group) in Sarasota. In this position, he oversaw projects such as the City of Punta Gorda Evaluation and Appraisal Report sufficiency response; Belle Glade Lock Feasibility Study; Immokalee Master Plan and Land Development Code Update; Bonita Springs CRA Zoning Overlay; Boynton Beach CRA Guidelines; and Lantana Master Plan. |
