EAR and related amendments 

Titusville

IP is assisting the City of Titusville in the preparation of their Evaluation and Appraisal Report and conducting a series of community workshops aimed at building consensus and uniting residents in a vision for the future of Titusville. IP is providing a full branding campaign for the visioning events, including a website, postcards, and logo.

Town of Davie

In addition to meeting all statute-required public hearings, IP will conduct community workshops in each of the four districts in the Town. This will allow residents and community stakeholders to address issues of direct interest to their neighborhoods.

North Miami

IP, in association with Kimley-Horn & Associates completed the City of North Miami’s Evaluation and Appraisal Report. The report focused on incorporating the City’s redevelopment goal and transportation plan into its goals, policies and objectives.

Florida City

IP completed the City’s EAR for this fast-growing rural community in southern Miami-Dade County that serves as the entrance to the Florida Keys and the Everglades National Park. A city-wide neighborhood assessment was performed as part of this project along with a financial program to provide the necessary improvements over the next 10 years. Copies of the final document were requested by the FDCA and SFRPC to be used as examples of proper EAR preparation. The Plan amendments were completed in 14 months and within budget.

IP updated the Future Land Use, Transportation and Intergovernmental Coordination Elements of the City Comprehensive Plan to complete EAR-based amendments and bring the elements into compliance with changes in state requirements. This project was completed in 12 months and within budget.

Town of Medley

The Evaluation and Appraisal Report for this community centered on employment-generating land uses recommends strategies to address the community’s upcoming challenges in sustaining strong economic development, including improving the aesthetic quality of its industrial development, the possible formation of a Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and its capital improvement programming needs for both established and new areas of the Town.

Cooper City

IP in association with Duncan and Associates, assisted staff in the successful preparation of the Comprehensive Plan EAR, and the subsequent preparation of the City’s EAR-based amendments for Cooper City (population 35,000) located in southwest Broward County. The Plan amendments were completed in 10 months and within budget.

Tamarac

IP successfully prepared the EAR and the EAR-based Comprehensive Plan amendments for this suburban community of 54,000 residents in northern Broward County. Copies of the final EAR document were requested by the FDCA and SFRPC to use as examples of proper EAR preparation. The Plan amendments were completed in 13 months and within budget.

Homestead

IP completed the EAR for this south Miami-Dade County community. The Comprehensive Plan update included post-hurricane redevelopment initiatives that enabled the tax base to grow far beyond previous levels. Copies of the final document were requested by the FDCA and SFRPC to use as examples of proper EAR preparation. The Plan amendments were completed in 12 months and within budget.

Royal Palm Beach

IP in association Duncan and Associates, successfully completed the EAR and recommended Comprehensive Plan amendments to transportation and other elements for this fast-growing suburban community in west Palm Beach County. Copies of the final document were requested by FDCA to use as examples of proper EAR preparation. The Plan amendments were completed in 13 months and within budget.

Palm Springs

IP, in association with Duncan and Associates, successfully prepared the EAR and subsequent EAR-based amendments for the Village of Palm Springs. Amendments were made to transportation and other Plan elements for this urban community in the heart of Palm Beach County. The Plan amendments were completed in 13 months and within budget.

Marco Island

IP completed the first Comprehensive Plan for the City of Marco Island. The EAR-based amendments focused on issues such as: affordable housing, bicycle and pedestrian linkages, infrastructure and traffic congestion. The amendments were found in compliance by FDCA.

Deerfield Beach

IP completed the EAR-based Amendments for Deerfield Beach’s Comprehensive Plan consistent with state requirements. IPG interviewed staff, public officials and community leaders to ascertain their view of the success and failure of the Plan’s implementation. An independent assessment of the progress the City had made in achieving the goals, objectives and polices was also completed.

Lake Worth

IP, in association with EDSA, and McMahon and Associates completed the EAR and subsequent EAR-based amendments for the City of Lake Worth.

Miramar

IP completed the EAR-based amendments for the City of Miramar. Key issues in the EAR-based amendments included: Enhancing the quality of life for residents; improving neighborhood appearance; creating a master redevelopment plan for the 441 Corridor and East Miramar; Ensuring compatibility of industrial areas near neighborhoods; constructing a new City Hall complex; re-using existing City buildings for community needs; making City Hall business-owner friendly; promoting private investment in schools.
