Green Master Planning

Green Master Plans

As urban areas expand, communities need to preserve open lands and environmentally sensitive areas, and mitigate environmental impacts related to development. IPG develops land preservation strategies and Green Master Plans for communities and municipalities throughout Florida.

Green Design and Carbon Neutrality are essential components of sustainable planning, and are used by the most cutting-edge communities to help combat global warming. Through incorporation of Green Design and Carbon Neutral strategies, IPG develops the objectives, policies, and regulations required to make its clients leaders in global visioning and sustainable planning.

FAPA Conference 2008 - Green Planning Seminar

IPG recently conducted a seminar on Green Planning strategies at the 2008 Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association (FAPA) Annual Conference in Miami. We were pleased to see so many people turn out to learn about this exciting topic. We have provided a flash version of the presentation here:

Free Green Planning RFQ Template!

IPG has developed a model Request for Qualifications (RFQ) as a general guide for the procurement of services relating to green planning. Lacking a detailed understanding of the specifics of green planning, municipalities have been left to simply ask for an environmental approach and hope for the best. Such a lack of specificity in the RFQ can result in a confusing set of submittals that represent a wide range of options.

The purpose of this RFQ template is to:

• Provide language to encourage consistency in green planning approaches
• Ease the rating and comparison of submittals
• Assist in the successful selection of a superior green planning firm
