As a redevelopment planner for IP, Adams manages projects involving the creation and updating of redevelopment master plans for both cities and neighborhoods, and provides expert analysis and support for IP clients. In addition, Adams develops and presents redevelopment project proposals and presentations to potential clients and to local government boards and staff.

Prior to joining IP, Adams gained redevelopment experience with the City of Naples and the Village of Bensenville, Illinois. His past experiences also include 13 years as the Chief Financial Executive for two subsidiary companies of International Paper, 4 years as a Facilities Planning Manager for Weyerhaeuser Company and as a Captain serving in the Civil Engineering Corps.

  • Conducted a successful test program for a downtown trolley and central valet system for the 2007-2008 tourist season
  • Updated of the CRA development code dealing principally with parking and open space development incentives
  • Developed positive relationships with the news media and the business community
  • Obtained approval for a $9 million garage that had been studied for more than 9 years.
